It was a full house at Jean-Gabriel Ganascia’s conference about Artificial Intelligence that took place at the Résidence des Pins of Beyrouth on the 26 of March 2019 in partnership with Banque Libano-Française.
The National Library of France (Bibliothèque Nationale de France) contains 14 million books. Twitter on the other hand generates 7 terabytes/day, which is half a National Library of France/day. Google receives and processes 20 trillion requests/day! Ganascia shared these figures to illustrate the scale of Artificial Intelligence. The Internet uses this database to personalize and target the advertisements intended for each user.
Ganascia stressed the importance of asking questions that go beyond technicality and that are social and political.
