We have been building links with our community and promoting arts and culture since our very beginnings. As a founding member of the Lebanese Association for the Development of Private Funding for Culture, it is only natural that we are concerned with promoting the image of our country through the regular sustaining of various local major festivals such as the Al Bustan Festival, the International Festival of Baalbeck, the Byblos Festival, Festival of Tyre and Sidon, Zouk Festival, Beiteddine Festival only to name a few.
Besides from sponsoring festivals, our bank manifests its constant commitment to the safeguarding of Lebanese heritage, and its cultural diversity and wealth by offering its financial support to the publication of books.
Our philanthropic actions encompass our rich support to various local community initiatives, schools and universities, NGOs, charity organizations…We have been for instance extending our support to Skoun, a non profit organization which aims at helping people with addiction problems through its treatment and prevention program. One of our contributions consists in helping them raise funds during their annual gala dinner.
Banque Libano-Française yearly encourages its staff to participate in the Beirut Marathon and run for a cause. In 2009, BLF was part of a team of 3000 runners sporting red T-shirts and big smiles, running with the Braveheart Fund Association at the Beirut Marathon on the 6th of December 2009 to support needy children with congenital heart diseases. Thanks to the participation of 261 BLF members and the many other runners, the Braveheart Fund will be able to cover the expenses of three open heart surgeries desperately needed by under-privileged children born with Congenital Heart Disease.
In addition it our various philanthropic actions and supporting of various NGOs, local community initiatives, schools and universities we have capitalizing on the importance of building rock-solid partnerships.
