Launching the Solidarity card

April 19, 2012
During a press conference held at the Press Catholic Center in Antelias, on Wednesday April 18, Banque Libano-Française, represented by Mr. Elie Aoun, Director of Middle-Market Banking Division, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the launch of the Solidarity card with the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Lebanon, represented by Father Marwan Tabet, General Secretary of Catholic Schools in the Middle-East and President of the Foundation for the support of education in Catholic Schools in Lebanon.

With the Solidarity card, the General Secretariat aims to support financially distressed students to help them continue their education and realize their ambitions for a better future.

“It is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, as a major actor of the Banking Sector in Lebanon, to support the Solidarity card, said Mr. Aoun. We firmly believe in the importance of education for the country’s development and are therefore committed to helping the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Lebanon succeed in their project.”
