In the framework of BLF International Architecture Competition launched in 2015, the finalists had visited Beirut in January 2016 for a three-day introductory workshop, to get to know the Bank, the country, the people, and the site of the project.
“BLF new headquarters is meant to be a powerful urban landmark that will improve its surroundings and make the difference in the contemporary city condition. It will have a coherent ecological approach and be green-labeled. It will also be an accessible building, open to the public and will dialogue with Mar Mikhael and Beirut by welcoming public spaces and several connections with its neighborhoods”, said Raya Rapahël Nahas on this occasion.
